“Building organic spiritual families that experience, express, and expand the reign of the Lord Jesus Christ”

PAPUA, INDONESIA HERITAGE… What a privilege this past February to meet up with Jon’s dad and brother for a short visit in the mountain tribe of Papua where Jon’s parents worked for 35 years on Bible translation in their own language, leading people to Jesus, training church leaders, plus literacy, medical, and agricultural help for the Sougb people.

HELPING NATIONAL MISSIONARIES… Today, Sougb missionaries take the Good News about Jesus to other tribes & communities in Papua. Part of our ministry here in Indonesia is to periodically encourage them in their outreach endeavors.

MAKING DISCIPLE-MAKERS… We believe that disciple-making as Jesus & His disciples modeled it, happens best within the context of a small spiritual family/community. Much of our ministry here will focus on coaching and helping to lay a foundation for organic house churches throughout Idnonesia. We pray for willing hearts.

MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS… While living here in Bandung and working on language learning, making friends has come easy for us. People long for meaningful relationships–that is how God created us to be–regardless of one’s religious tradition. Please continue to pray with us for a few families we are spending time with, here in Bandung, that God would make clear to us, those whom we are to spiritually invest in. We pray for such opportunities.

BACK IN THE USA, ETHAN’S GRADUATION, ELLIE & TYLER’S WEDDING, CHANGES… During this past April through July, we made ourselves available for meeting the current needs of our “first disciples”–our own kids. May 5th we celebrated Ethan’s graduation from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where he received his B.A. in History, Magna Cum Laude (the medallion above), Presidential Honors (the golden stoles), with a minor in Business, plus casting in a lead role as Aramis in the Three Mustketeers drama production this past spring. Now, Ethan is working a full-time job at a financial company in Jackson, Michigan, where he is also sharing an apartment with Adam, who continues his Vet Tech program at Baker College of Jackson, with goals of graduating in 2014. He has part-time work at an assisted living complex nearby. June 2nd we celebrated the marriage of Ellie & Tyler Neething (pronounced “knee-ET-lynn”) in a large white tent, simply decorated, on the lovely DeBoer Farm property in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jon was privileged to share God’s purposes for marriage, with other family members participating, and about 130 guests in attendance. It was meaningful & enjoyable! To view more photos visit “Face Book” and Ellie & Tyler’s Wedding Website: www.tylerandellie.lindsirianphotography.com. Tyler has 1 year left at Moody Bible Institute, while Ellie works at a CHASE bank nearby. Now we are also back at work in Bandung, Indonesia.
