Greetings everyone! Recently we’ve been reminded of and very thankful for the various people in the Body of Christ who have spoken into our lives, and have helped us to help others, especially in the perplexing spiritual environment we find ourselves in, here in Asia…

“Christianity is a way of life, not a series of religious meetings. Before they were called Christians, followers of Christ were called ‘The Way’. One of the reasons was that they had literally found the way to live. The nature of church is not reflected in a constant series of religious meetings led by professional clergy in holy places specially reserved to experience Jesus. Rather, it is the prophetic way followers of Christ live their everyday life in spiritual extended families, as a vivid answer to the questions that society asks, and in the place where it counts most–in their homes.” -Wolfgang Simson, Houses that Change the World

“When the Lord made His entrance on this planet, He did so as a new & unique species. Biologically, He was human. Yet He was unfallen. Spiritually, He was divine. Jesus was a hybrid of perfect God and perfect man. Though Jesus was born into a Jewish home, His origins were not of this earth… Consider the following statements, ‘You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world’ (John 8:23). ‘If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but He sent me.’ (John 8:42). ‘My Kingdom is not of this world’ (John 18:36)… Jesus Christ was a king from another universe… Those who pay their allegience to Jesus will become citizens of that new realm…they will be given the very life that the king lives by, thus making them part of His own species, also called the Body of Christ and the Family of God.” -Frank Viola, From Eternity to Here

“Church begins with Jesus: Who He is and what He has done. It is all about Jesus, and if it begins to be about something else, then it stops being the church as Jesus meant it to be.”

-Neil Cole, Organic Church

“The church we read about in the New Testament was ‘organic’. By that I mean it was born from and sustained by spiritual life… The New Testament uses many images to depict the church. Significantly, all of these images are living entities: a body, a bride, a family, one new man, a living temple made up of living stones… Each image teaches us that the church is a living organism rather than an institutional organization… Do you know what metaphor for the church dominates the New Testament? It’s the family!… Familial fellowship is both the source and the goal of the church, modeled after the Triune God–Father, Son, and Spirit (I John 1:1-3)” -Frank Viola, Reimagining Church

“Joining Christ in fulfilling God’s eternal purposes through making disciple-makers by nurturing organic spiritual families that experience, express, and expand the reign of the Lord Jesus Christ into willing hearts, homes, and communities.”
